The senior Real Madrid coach, Rafa Benitez, said that Cristiano Ronaldo secured a place in history, after his five goals scored for a 6:0 victory over Espanyol has become the most successful scorer of Real Madrid in La Liga.
The Portuguese has more goals even than the legend Raul as now he has 230 goals in 201 matches.
And this led to a bunch of praise from the side of Benitez: 'The numbers speak for themselves. He has a place in history. I hope to continue to add goals to account.`
'I like to speak for the team when they achieve a score of this magnitude and could not clear the six goals and five that Ronaldo scored.`
'There are always things to improve and that`s what we need to do. This will be the attacking team that will attack, but always based on the team balance and respecting the defense part of the game.`
'Strikers have freedom in their movements and they move very intelligently, which was the key. And we were able to materialize that against Espanyol.`, added Benitez.
