Ukraine may boycott the World Cup in Russia in 2018, said the president of the local football federation Grigory Surkis to the international news agencies. With this, he only confirmed the words of the Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko, who last week stressed the need "boycott to be discussed."
"The easiest way is to say that I am for the boycott. But if we follow and obey the agreement from Minsk, then we should not have problems with the conduct of the World Cup," said Surkis.
However Poroshenko got beyond urging all his allies to boycott the World Cup in Russia.
